The Samsung HLP5663W is a high definition, rear projection TV set using DLP technology. The set provides a huge viewing area of 50” (measured diagonally) widescreen, which is elegantly framed into an extremely light and thin bezel cabinet. The set weighs less than 78 pounds and is less than 14.5 inches which makes the installation very easy even in spaces in which other sets of the same size won’t even fit.
The set offers a native display resolution of 1280 X 720 with a widescreen aspect ratio of 16:9. This aspect ratio is essential for viewing widescreen videos and movies. The Samsung HLP5663W offers excellent quality images with rich and deep colors and high brightness. The contrast ratio of the set is somewhere around 1500:1 and has excellent black levels. The DNIe video enhancer provides excellent noise correction even from low quality input sources. The 3:2 pulldown correction is used for smoother running of videos or movies.
