Have a PT-50LC13 and I’m on the 5th lamp. The last one popped in 13 days. This is TRULY a crap TV BTW. So, the new bulb is in, but I’ve two questions. Does anyone know how to make sure the cooling fan is working and how to clean the filters? Also, how do you know if your ballast kit in need of repair?

I called the customer service department and they said that for those of us who do not have the original remote, we have to go to amazon or panasonic to get one. You HAVE to reset your timer after replacing the lamp. Otherwise your tv doesn’t know you replace it and it goes into safety mode…hence the flashing lights and not turning on business. I’m on my way to order an original remote, hope this helps!!!

You would think someone at PANASONIC would read/monitor these sites and see that so many customers have lost their original remotes… and would now like to reset the lamp timer !
Ive counted at 6 other people with the same question as me… Please someone tell us how to reset without the remote and it’s ( split button )

I just replaced the lamp but I am unable to reset the lamp timer because I do not have the original remote. Believe it or not, my dog ate it. Is there any other way to reset this without the remote?

I just replaced the bulb in my Panasonic PT-44LCX65 and now I only get sound when I turn the tv on and no picture. Anyone know what to do?

I just change the lamp in my PT-56LCX16-K and I can’t do the reset. My remote control is a Panasonic Universal Remote Control for Theater System. I don’t have the ”split” button and I’m not quite sure what to do now???? Can you please help? Thanks…

Just happen to see your comment regarding the resetting of pt-44lcx65/pt lamp timer…have been trying everything and nothing worked since my remote did not have the pip. Followed your instructions and low and behold!!! Positive results..thanks mucho. Erikos
