When you buy a Samsung lamp, the lamp inside the actual unit is manufactured by Philips Lighting, the leader in UHP, digial projection lighting (DPL). Among other things besides televisions like DLP and LCD projection, Philips also manufactures household light bulbs, medical lamps, and projector lamps!
