A new lamp for your Epson PowerLite Pro Cinema 1080 projector
Step 1: When to replace?
Typical warning signs include:
- an image that deteriorates and becomes quite dark.
- a red flashing light on the projector that blinks every few seconds — this is the lamp warning light.
- a message: “Replace the lamp” flashes on the screen when you start using the projector.
Replace the Epson ELPLP39 immediately when you see any of these signs.
Step 2: Avoid generics

This guarantees a Epson ELPLP39 lamp that has been created by an OEM manufacturer offering technical support and a refund should there be any problems. Those “generic, compatile” lamps sold for discount prices on the Internet should be avoided for the following reasons:
- although they have a lower price tag, generic have a much shorter life so end up costing more
- generic lamps are being created with carcinogenic parts including Krypton-85
- counterfeit lamps are prone to explosions
- generic lamps are not calibrated properly and can damaged the sensitive electronics in projectors
- copycat manufacturers offer no guarantee or refunds
- the warranty on your Epson PowerLite Pro Cinema 1080 projector will become void.
