After replacing the bulb the projector still will not come on. The projector is still displaying the red light. Can you help us trouble shoot what to do next?

    • avatar Shelagh McNally says:

      HI Chery,
Did you reset the lamp timer in the projector? If this is not done then the projector will think the lamp has still reached end of life and will not turn on. The other thing to do it try re-installing the lamp. If both those things don’t work them the lamp might be a countetfeit that was not properly calibrated. You will have to replace the lamp itself.

      HI Mark,
It depends on your projector model and brand. Usually it’s with the remote using a combination of keys to reset the projector lamp timer. Send me your model number and I will search our library for you key combination.

        Hi Shelagh,

after installing a new lamp, the red light is still on and I can`t start der beamer. Do you know the key combination for a M300X NEC beamer?

        Thank you very much!

        Best regards

        Jürgen

        • avatar Shelagh McNally says:

          Hi Jurgen,
I am not sure what you mean by the beamer? The red light blinking after a new lamp installation means that either the lamp cover has not been properly installed and is still loose or the lamp has not been properly calibrated so the projector can read it. If the lamp was bought on the internet through one of the larger retailers, it may be counterfeit and rejected by the projector. Start bi re-installing the lamp cover and then check the lamp.
          Regards,
          Shelagh
