Safety steps before installing the Hitachi DT00841 (CPX401):

  • Turn off the Hitachi CP-X417WF projector .
  • Unplug the power cord.
  • Allow the projector to cool for at least 45 minutes. It should be cool to the touch. This projector works using high heat and there is danger you can be burned.
  • NOTE: If the projector is mounted on the ceiling, don’t stand underneath the projector while opening the cover.

  • Prepare the new Hitachi CP-X417WF projector lamp. If the projector is mounted on a ceiling, or if the lamp has broken, contact your dealer for assistance.
  • Loosen the screw (marked by arrow) of the lamp cover and then slide the lamp cover to the side to remove it.
  • Loosen the 2 screws (marked by arrow) of the projector lamp, and slowly pick up the lamp by the handles. Be careful not the bang the lamp. The Hitachi DT00841 projector lamp contains mercury and must be recycled properly. Do not throw it in regular garbage.
  • Insert the new lamp, taking care not to touch the actual bulb. Oil in your fingers will cause a dark spot on the lamp when it heats up.
  • Tighten the two screws of the Hitachi DT00841 projector lamp that were loosened to remove the old projector lamp.
  • Slide the lamp cover back in place and firmly fasten the screw of the lamp cover.
  • Turn on the projector and set the lamp timer:

  • Scroll down to the GO TO ADVANCED MENU option. Press ENTER
  • Scroll down to the OPTION menu in the left column and press ENTER.
  • Scroll down to LAMP TIME. Press ENTER To make a dialogue field appear
  • Scroll up to the RESET option on the dialogue box.
  • The lamp setting will be set to zero.

  • Pull the filter frame’s knob up while holding the filter cover. The filter frame will come off and the air filter will appear.

  • Put the filter unit back into the projector
  • Turn the projector on and reset the filter time using the FILTER TIME item in the EASY MENU.

Replacing the Dell 310-7522 projector lamp

Before replacing the Dell 310-7522 projector lamp be sure to turn the projector off and disconnect from the AC plug. Let the projector cool down for at least 30 minutes. It should be cool to the touch. Don’t attempt to change the lamp when the projector is still hot as there is a good chance you can get severely burned.

  • Place the Dell 1100MP on a soft surface and turn in upside down to access the projector lamp cover. Loose the two screws that hold the projector lamp cover in place.
  • Loosen the two screws that secure the projector lamp.
  • Pull the projector lamp up by its metal handle. Pulling too quickly can cause the bulb to shatter. NOTE: Don’t throw the Dell 310-7522 projector lamp into regular garbage! Since it contains mercury, this lamp must be properly recycled.
  • Install the new Dell 310-7522 projector lamp making sure it is properly aligned into the projector.
  • Tighten the two screws that secure the Dell 310-7522 projector lamp.
  • Replace the projector lamp cover and tighten the two screws.
  • You are now ready to reset the lamp timer.

Reset the projector lamp counter

The Dell 1100MP projector tracks the life of the Dell 310-7522 projector lamp and will trigger the warning signals when it’s time to replace. Each time you replace the Dell 310-7522 projector lamp you must reset the lamp timer to zero. Failure to do so can result in you using the projector past the optimum lamp life and causing the projector lamp to explode.

  • To access the Main Menu press the left or right buttons on your projector’s control panel or remote control.

Before replacing the ELPLP58 (V13H010L58) projector lamp follow these important safety rules:

  1. Always unplug the power cord on the Epson PowerLite 1260 projector before replacing the projector lamp.
  2. This projector operates using high temperature. Wait at least 60 minutes before replacing the lamp so you don’t run the risk of getting burned.
  3. Never touch the bare projector lamp bulb as the oil from your fingers will burn black marks onto the projector lamp when it heats up.

  • Go to INFO menu
  • Scroll down to USAGE TIME to display the LAMP LIFE REMAINING and LAMP HOURS USED.
  • The progress indicator shows the percentage of remaining bulb life:
  • When the lamp usage reaches 0, the Lamp Life REMAINING starts a count down from 100 hours
  • When the count down reaches 0, the projector will turn off and not turn on.

Changing the NEC NP15LP projector lamp

NOTE: New air filters are shipped with the lamp and it’s recommended you replace them at the same time.

Replacing the filters

There are four filters in the NEC NP-M260XG projector:

  • Honeycomb hard filter – large and small
  • Accordion soft filter — large and small

Replace all four filters at the same time. Before replacing the filters wipe off any dust and dirt that came loose from the old filters. NOTE: The filters are made with two different types of material in the membrane. Both perform the same.

The filter cover is fixed at six separate points in the projector. Bow the filter cover by pushing it slightly until it releases.

  • Filter unit: Attach two honeycomb hard filters to the NEC NP-M260XG filter unit.
  • Filter cover: Attach the two accordion soft filters to the filter cover. Be sure to align the accordion slits with the protrusions of the filter cover.

Insert the two catches of the top of the filter into the groove of the cabinet. Push the filter until it clicks into place.

 

Reset the lamp timer

Once the NEC NP15LP projector lamp and NEC NP-M260XG projector filter have both been replaced you will need to reset the timer for both. You want the projector to be able to accurately track the projector lamp life.

Clear usage hours and reset hours

  • Plug in the power cored into the wall outlet.
  • Turn on the projector.
  • From the MENU select RESET.
  • Choose CLEAR LAMP HOURS.
  • A confirmation message appears.
  • Select YES.

Reset the filter hours:

  • Scroll up to CLEAR Filter HOURS.
  • A second submenu will appear.
  • Select YES. Press the ENTER button.

Extending the life of the NEC NP15LP projector lamp

Get your newly installed NEC NP15LP projector lamp will last longer by choosing the ECO option. The ECO MODE increases projector lamp life by lowering the power consumption. There are three modes to choose from:

  • Auto Mode: 4000 hours
  • Normal: 5000 hours
  • Eco ModeL 8000 hours

When to replace

Depending on the working conditions and setting of the Panasonic PT-D5600UL, projector lamp life may vary. The Panasonic PT-D5600UL uses the Panasonic ET-LAD55 projector lamp power and at 1300 hours the “Replace Lamp” warning is displayed on screen for 30 seconds. That message will be permanently displayed on screen until the Panasonic ET-LAD55 projector is changed. Don’t leave the lamp  as is after the warning message or the projector will automatically shut off and the so the Panasonic PT-D5600UL projector will enter a standby state. It will remain in standby state until the projector lamp is changed.

Choosing projector lamp options

The Panasonic PT-DW5000U comes equipped with two Panasonic ET-LAD55 projector lamps. You have the option of using:

  • SINGLE projector lamp mode: Either of the projector lamp is used – projector automatically chooses the lamp with the shorter operating hours.
  • DUAL projector lamp mode: Both projector lamps are used.
  • Projector LAMP1 : Lamp Unit 1 is always used alone.
  • Projector LAMP2 : Lamp Unit 2 is always used alone.

When only one Panasonic ET-LAD55 projector lamp is used (SINGLE, LAMP1 or LAMP2 options) and it’s been used for 1500 hours consecutively, the Panasonic PT-DW5000U projectors automatically switches to the second lamp. When both Panasonic ET-LAD55 lamps are used simultaneously for 1300 hours straight, the projector will automatically go into standby mode. Create longer projector lamp life by controlling the luminance of the projector lamp:

  • HIGH: Use when you need high brightness is necessary. Both lamps are used with this setting.
  • LOW: Set when high brightness is not necessary. This reduces power and operating noise while using only one lamp.

The importance of authentic lamps

It’s easy to get duped into buying an inferior knock-off lamp posing as an authentic lamp. Buyer beware! Always look for the seal of approval and watch for telltale signs you are about to purchase a counterfeit lamp

Replacing the Panasonic ET-LAD55 projector lamp

Before replacing the Panasonic ET-LAD55 projector lamp follow these important safety step:

1. Press the POWER OFF button on the Panasonic PT-D5600UL projector.

2. Select OK using the right or left arrows on the control panel. Press the ENTER button. (Or press the POWER OFF button again. The power indicator will light up orange.

3. Wait until the power indicator turns red and the cooling fans stop running on the Panasonic PT-D5600UL.

4. Press MAIN POWER to OFF.

Projector lamp installation steps:

1. Remove the power plug and wait for at least 45 minute for the projector to cool.

3. Remove the two screws securing the fan unit. (See diagram #3)

4. Gently open the fan unit in front of the both Panasonic ET-LAD55 projector lamps. (See diagram #4)

5. Remove the screws holding the Panasonic ET-LAD55 projector lamp in place. (Each lamps has two screws. Take hold of the wire handle and gently remove the projector lamp. (See diagram #5)

NOTE: The Panasonic ET-LAD55 projector lamp contains mercury and should not be thrown into regular garbage. Recycle this projector lamp!

6. Install the new lamp unit taking care not the touch the actual project lamp bulb as oil from your fingers will remain on the bulb and burn black spots when the projector lamp heats up.

7. Use a Phillips screwdriver to securely tighten each of the two screws on both projector lamps. Panasonic-PT-DW5600UL_finish_installation_ET-LAD55_projector_lamp

8. Put the fan back in place and tighten the two screens to hold it in place. (See diagram #8)

9. Slide the cover a little toward the right, and secure it by tightening the screw. (See diagram #9) NOTE: Firmly install the projector lamp unit and projector lamp cover. If not installed properly, the protection circuit will be activated and the projector will not turn back on.

Resetting the projector lamp timer

Each time you switch to a new Panasonic ET-LAD55 projector lamp you need to reset the Panasonic PT-DW5600UL projector lamp timer. Panasonic-PT-DW5600UL_ET-LAD55_reset_projector_lamp_timer

  • Insert the power cord plug into the wall outlet and then press the MAIN POWER switch.
  • Press the “ I ” button on the remote control to display an image picture onto the screen.
  • Press MENU to display the MAIN MENU screen.
  • Scroll down to select OPTION2. Press ENTER to display the OPTION 2 menu.
  • Scroll down to SYSTEM INFORMATION. Press ENTER to display the SYSTEM INFORMATION menu.
  • Press and hold the ENTER button on the projector or the remote control for approximately 3 seconds. The option LAMP TIME RESET will be added to the menu.

Scroll down to select the projector that has was replaced. Select the lamp which has been changed

  • LAMP1: Replace the LAMP UNIT 1
  • LAMP2: Replace the LAMP UNIT 2
  • Press ENTER.
  • When the LAMP TIME RESET display flashes, press ENTER again.
  • The used hours of the specified lamp unit will be reset to zero.
  • Press the MENU button to leave the LAMP TIME RESET menu.

Quick reset:

  • When lamp unit 1 has been replaced: In standby mode, press the number buttons in the sequence of 737381, and then press ENTER.
  • When lamp unit 2 has been replaced: In standby mode, press the number buttons in the sequence of 737382, and then press ENTER.
  • When the projector lamps hours have been reset, the lamp monitor (LAMP1/LAMP2) will flash for 3 seconds.

  • Loosen the screw on Eiki LC-WB40N Lamp Cover and remove Lamp Cover.
  • Loosen the 2 screws holding the Eiki POA-LMP111 projector lamp in place. Using the two handles on either side of the projector lamp and gently lift it out of the projector. Pulling too quickly can cause the bulb to shatter. Learn what to do should the bulb shatter.
  • NOTE: The Eiki POA-LMP111 projector lamp contains mercury and should be properly recycled. Don’t place it into regular garbage.
  • Place a new projector lamp into the Eiki LC-WB40N making sure not to touch the actual bulb. Finger prints on the bulb will be burned into the glass when the projector heats up.
  • Tighten the 2 screws on the new lamp
  • Replace Lamp Cover and tighten the screw.
  • Connect AC Power Cord to a projector and turn projector on.
  • Reset Lamp Replacement Counter.

Reset Eiki LC-WB40N lamp counter

Your Eiki LC-WB40NA projector has a built in lamp counter to determine when the projector lamp should be replaced. It needs to be reset every time you replace the Eiki POA-LMP111 projector lamps. When the Lamp Replace Counter is reset, the LAMP REPLACE indicator stops lighting.

  • Turn projector on, press MENU button and ON-SCREEN MENU will appear.
  • Press POINT LEFT/RIGHT button(s) to move the red frame pointer to SETTING Menu icon. Press POINT DOWN button to move a red frame pointer to “Lamp counter reset.”
  • Press SELECT button.
  • Move arrow to select either Lamp 1 or Lamp 2. Press SELECT button.
  • Message “Lamp replace counter Reset?” is displayed.
  • Move pointer to YES and then press SELECT button.
  • NOTE: Be sure to reset correct lamp number otherwise LAMP REPLACE indicator continues lighting.
  • Another confirmation dialog box appears and select YES to reset Lamp Replace Counter.
  • Do not reset Lamp Replace Counter except after Projection lamp is replaced.

Extend the life projector lamp life

Get more hours from your Eiki POA-LMP111 projector lamp by following these maintenance tips:

  • Keep your air filters clean to avoid overheating the projector.
  • Turn off the Eiki LC-WB40NA projector and let it stand unused for at least one hour ever 24 hours. An average use of four to five hours per day will ensure longer lamp life.
  • Make sure there is enough airflow around the projector particularly if it’s been permanently mounted.

Before replacing the Optoma BL-FU185A projector lamp follow these crucial safety tips to prevent injury to yourself or the projector:

  • Switch off the power to the Optoma PRO350 projector by pressing the Power/Standby button.
  • Disconnect the power cord.
  • Allow the projector to cool down for at least 30 minutes. If should be cool to the touch. These projectors run using high temperatures and you can burn yourself badly if you don’t allow the projector to cool down.

Install the new Optoma BL-FU185A  projector lamp:

  • Remove the new Optoma BL-FU185A projector lamp from its packaging.
  • Taking care not to touch the actual bulb, lift up the handle on the new lamp and insert it gently into the Optoma PRO350 projector.
  • Tighten the two screws on the projector lamp.
  • Replace the lamp cover and tighten its two screws. Reset the lamp timer.

Reset the Lamp Replacement Timer

The Optoma PRO350 projector has an automatic lamp timer that tracks the numbers of hours left in the projector lamp. When the Optoma BL-FU185A (SP.8EH01GC01) projector lamp is approaching end of life, the lamp replacement timer will trigger the warning system. If you don’t reset the lamp replacement timer you run the risk of the projector lamp being used beyond its recommended life and possibly exploding in the projector.

Step 1: Buy an authentic

Installing a  new Acer EC.J9000.001 projector lamp

Before installation follow these important safety steps:

  • Turn off the Acer X1230 projector and unplug the AC cord.
