Thanks for the info but we decided to just purchase a new tv. I guess this one will be thrown out!

This morning the tv was working fine, then there was a loud popping noise and the tv went blank. It will try to power up but after a few cycles shuts down. I removed the lamp after reading several posts on this sight and it is busted. Do you think that will be the only problem? I do not want to spen...
