Yes, I have checked the back cover and such. There was nothing else other than it just shuts off and tries to come back on. It makes a whirring noise-like something is trying to spin.
The replacement lamp is a Phillips. I bought it from Samsung, so its a good lamp.

Samsung HL-S4266W Lamp replaced, TV not working
We just replaced the lamp in our Samsung HL-S4266W. We bought the lamp from Samsung parts, so it is a good lamp. Now when we turn on the TV, it makes a whirring noise thenjust shuts off. The LAMP LED flashes and it tries to turn back on, but never does. Could this be the ballast or the color wheel? ...
