Re: Model Code HLS5086WX/XAA comes on for 30 sec

Well sounds like to me you are having a bulb issue. I had a Samsung I was selling and a now X friend had a buyer and against my better judgement I took it to him. I set up the hole thing and had it on for him for about 1/2 hour sitting on a table supplied by him. I showed him it worked great left an...

Re: Toshiba 42HM66 has green and purple hazing effect

WOW I thought Jimmy Hendricks came back as a DLP TV, No way. First did you buy a factory bulb or go less expensive to save money we all tried this one time or other and better spending a few bucks more if you did. Pull bulb out and inspect for discoloration if discolored could be cooling problem, c...

Re: Do I need a new Lamp?

This is what I would do, look in back of your set make sure it is on and look to where the DLP is at and see by visual inspection how bright it looks if it is bright and listen for any noises like growns, growl, and or the feeling something is vibrating aka color wheel possible. after it cools down...

Re: using a generic lamp in my dlp?

Man I tell you Eddie is so right on never use anything but factory or you can use OSRAM which is made by Philips. and really if you think of it for another $15.00 t0 $20.00 its really not much more. Sort story, bought 2 2077 model Toshiba 62" DLP units. 1 worked the other the bulb I believed w...
