replaced ballast and bulb, nothing happened. How do I check the color wheel.
if the color wheel is bad will the bulb come on?
I don't hear any loud noises coming from the color wheel area, maybe slightly louder than the fans. goes on for a few seconds then stops and starts again.

I am having similar problems. Replaced Lamp(first one and tv is 5 years old) but the new lamp won't come on. Where is the safety button exactly? The color wheel doesn't spin or make noise. I am guessing it is the ballast, how can I test before buying. The old bulb had a discoloration on the lens, do...
