Possibly a way to fix Mitsubishi overscan.
On TVs with no overscan adjustment, like the WD-62628, I wonder if it might be possible to put shims under all the mounting points for the light engine? That should lift it closer to the mirror, reducing the image size projected onto it and thus reducing the size of the image reflected onto the scre...

Re: WD 62628 picture shape adjustment?
nVidia drivers have adjustments where the active video area can be reduced to compensate for overscan. But that doesn't put the whole 1080i image on screen. It's still overscanning. Looking through the WD-62628 service and training manuals there doesn't appear to be any mechanical or electronic adju...

Re: WD 62628 picture shape adjustment?
There's pieces of tape or something on the edge of the mirror. Perhaps those are shims used to gently warp the mirror to correct for issues with the plastic housing where it rests? I'd expect that over time the plastic might sag. Main issue is with the overscan. Still need to get a DVI to HDMI cable...

WD 62628 picture shape adjustment?
Just got a Mitsubishi WD 62628 back into working order, new bulb, cleaned the big mirror, lens and inside of the screen. Beautiful picture but the shape is a bit wonky with a downward dip across the top, with the left corner higher than the right. Don't have a remote and haven't found any shape, siz...
