Here is what the repair tech told me. "Your TV is toast. Its lost communication between the main board and optical engine. Replace main board is $500. Replace optical engine is $1000." Best option is to purchase a new TV. :-) ugh so frustrating!!

3 weeks ago our tv shut off on our kids while we were at work. We turned it on and it stayed on for approximately 6 minutes and then shut down.
