there is a compasitor or resiter that is by the number f100 on the ballist board that is lighting up blue when the blub trys to light up.

the old ballist was doing the same as the new one, are you saying i could have received a bad ballist because that was what i was thinking ,is there any possible i have a bad temp sensor..

yes happens when you hear the clicks which are not close together. happens for about 4 to 5 seconds. its like seeing a blue flame of a lighter. in the bulb and by the inverter. their is only one blinking light on front of tv the far right one

had a dark patch once turned out to be a bug in my dlp lcd tv bulb . try checking to see if there is a bug or other soure blocking your back lighting to the screen..

my samsung would not come on replaced bulb came back on , next day smell wire burning . after plulling bulb out can see melting on one of the lamp and ballist connecters.. do i need to just change the bulb and the ballist or is their somthing else I should check also... :?: could new bulb been wired...
