Replaced the lamp today and I can't even remember the TV being that bright!! Just remember to take the screw out that holds the lamp housing securely in place.

My screen just got dramatically dimmer after 11852 hours on the original lamp. That's about 5 years. Not bad at all. Time for replacement.

I don't have a real good picture of my original problems, but I do have this one with the black lines and an area of blotchyness circled. FYI.
