When the TV turns on, its completly blank, as if it isnt on. I can hear the channels switch, there is sound. When I turn on the TV tho, I get a blinking timer light. but thats it.

Mitsubishi DLP Sound with no picture
I was just given a Mitsubishi HDtv DLP 65 inch. but when I turn on the tv, there is sound, but there is no picture. The screen is black. I didnt want to trash the tv if its an easy fix. what could it be?
