Re: LCD HDMI Connection
That's not really a question for this forum, but it's possible you have a video only hdmi cable, or you're not plugging it in the correct way. I've read there are some 1-way HDMI cables. I'd take the cable back for another one. You should also not have any other audio cable plugged in that will &quo...

Could be a bad button set on your unit itself. Did you try to also press the down button on the TV? That should cancel out the up button being stuck. If it doesn't, I'd try to replace your main board. DM has a bunch of parts for that kind of thing.

A few things I can think of are a DMD board or a color wheel. The green lines may be caused by a bad DMD chip, which resides on the DMD board. A color wheel could also cause funky colors, but not a straight line like you're describing. Try to clean out the unit with a can of compressed air, then see...

It's not the resistor. If it's blinking 5 times consecutively, it might be a power supply issue. RCAs are notorious for that problem. Check the capacitors. I don't believe the resisters would be the culprit.

That's not true Jake.. a 120W lamp is 100/120W meaning that the 100W ballast will work fine. A 132W lamp will also work, but may appear dimmer since it needs a lot more energy.

I don't ever recommend using generic brands. Say you buy a generic for 70 bucks. It lasts 6 months to a year--that is going to cost you another 70 bucks for another lamp. A Philips lamp will last you 2-3 years and you spend about $40 more. So it's about $110 for 2-3 years (or more) or $140 for 2 yea...
