Hello, You are on the right path in my opinion, when I get this after a lamp exchange its usually something inside (the projector light engine) is miss aligned. Hi, So after all this trouble shooting basically you end up with a RED screen??? Hey S,

Yeah he texted me something likewise, and do not worry if the original CW pops up on eBay or Amazon etc... Angel will find it!

Um well to properly diagnose the TV would have to come on, but since it cycles then I think it might just be the LED that went out..

You can always order one from an OEM seller like discount-merchant.com and if it does not work (make sure its a Philips, it should be around that price). Hint, if this doesn't solve your problem once received and installed call them up (800-281-8860) and ask for an RA# to return this for a refund ;)

Re: Hitachi 70VS810 going out

Well from recent experience I want to say make SURE the lamp connector is plugged in all the way. The lamp ignites at a 3-20kV jolt and if there is a gap in the pin connectors, this can arc at that point and do some damage! At this point I would try a new ballast, but first: how long have you had yo...

Can you get the screen up for any amount of time? Reason I ask is that after doing a little research on this model, the DV board seems to be a popular culprit and the best way of testing it would be by hooking up analog vs digital signals (like HDMI vs Coax)

Hi, I normally look around Google shopping and order the cheapest, theres not that many counterfeit colorwheels or ballasts, unless they are used/refurbished, I trust them.. it is quite common for a bad colorwheel to prevent the ballast for firing up the lamp, or for a bad ballast to ignite a new la...

sounds like you did this to the main or digital video board, if it worked after you did some soldering, then this is most likely an overheating issue. Have you make sure the ventilation system is running and clean?

Hello! This is actually very common, in my opinion, you keep resetting the ballast and the new lamp is powered on but the ballast is no longer strong enough to keep generating up to 15-20kV to fire it up. This is VERY common especially with Mitsubishi TVs which is why if you search the web you will ...
