Hey charles When your Timer and Standby/Temp lights are blinking, your TV is overheating. Dust and bulb failure are two leading causes for overheating in TVs. Well it could be a problem related to the colorwheel motor going out or the DMD board sending a faulty signal.

The LED lights indicate whether a DLP TV is working properly. For example, if all three LEDs are blinking, whatever the configuration, the most common cause is that the DLP lamp or light engine is failing

Hello TheBossT127. First of all, the lamp is not in charge of the color added to the picture, it’s the color wheel that does that, the lamp just emits white light, so you might want to open the back of the TV and physically inspect the color wheel, to see if its stuck, chipped, broken or not spinnin...

Good luck.

Hello dustin407.
I would agree with darkart77, this is very little info to go about with; first of all, do you hear any strange noises coming from the back of the TV when turning it on?
Have you had any distortion with the TV’s picture? At this point its looks like the lamp, but no guarantees.

The Ballast is not the same as the DMD board. The ballast just regulates voltage to the lamp, while the DMD board monitors the entire TV & administrates all the elements necessary to create a picture on the screen.
If you have any more questions feel free to ask.
