Yes pretty much the diamond series parts can be used on the regular with its corresponding part number unless it has a "smart TV feature" like wifi, which was not many.

I agree ^ It might be a ballast, but the fact that you have had to replace the colorwheel before tells me there might be something wrong, something as little as ventilation... the ballast can make an arching buzzing electronic sound, but a whinny whirled or grindy sound is almost always a bad colorw...

Its not a DV board issue, maybe the colorwheel might be heating up, and start malfunctioning.. have you tried placing a fan in the back of the tv to keep it "cool" and check to see if its a part thats over heating..

The fix you describe seems appropriate to change everything using OEM components. The issue you are describing however, in my opinion cannot be caused by the lighting...

hi, well you seem very comfortable around electronics, if you took your multimeter and say there's no voltage FROM the MAIN power supply, then yes I'd agree the aux power supply will not distribute any power to anything. Did the old green LED seem "burned in" or have any dark spots? Or maybe it fail...

Hmm.. normally the blue LED Chip goes out first after 5-6 yrs because it is the first to receive light from the Philips UHP lamp and hence gets more wear and tear... is your TV properly ventilated and in a not so humid environment?

Hi! no yes to my understanding the pick up board just reads the "pulse" a certain RPM. like all meters we need to find out what that certain RPM is, the color panes should have no effect. I got the images form Angel, we fixed one of these in February and parts were not as scarce!

Yes in theory that could work, however in order to give you the exact readout i need one present to test myself or look over my notes for this model
