Re: Green ghost screen frozen on main input HLR506
Once the green ghost appears display the TV menu. If the menu is displayed without being affected by the ghost then the problem could be in your analog board (since the HDMI input works fine). If the menu is also affected then as Eddie said, you have a DMD issue. However vacuuming all the dust alway...

Do you get any type of clicking noises?, if not, then it could be a bad bulb and you would need to replace it. Well, if it was a bad bulb it wouldn't turn on at all, so I don't think that's the problem. However if there is any clicking noise the problem could be a week ballast, as yomutsu proposed,...

Actually there is a way to know if the DMD board is malfunctioning when you have picture issues, but in your case the TV turns Off immediately. So the problem is going to be with one of the components of the board, and it's a complex task.

Well, according to your manual (which you can check here: http://fixyourdlp.com/blog/manuals/Samsung/a0fab209b32eed9f9407e8137b3588.pdf ) the flashing code you have means that the lamp door isn't properly closed. Hi lazorbeam. If you can see the bulb is on, but you have no picture at all, then most probably the problem is with the DMD board, it should redirect the light to the screen if everything is ok. Another possibility is that DMD board could be detecting a problem somewhere, maybe the color wheel start...
