If you have enough of the wire, I'd tie em and heat shrink em. If they are too small, just a small solder might work, then tape electrical tape around it..

Could be a bad button set on your unit itself. Did you try to also press the down button on the TV? That should cancel out the up button being stuck. If it doesn't, I'd try to replace your main board. DM has a bunch of parts for that kind of thing.

A few things I can think of are a DMD board or a color wheel. The green lines may be caused by a bad DMD chip, which resides on the DMD board. It's not the resistor. If it's blinking 5 times consecutively, it might be a power supply issue. RCAs are notorious for that problem. Check the capacitors. I don't believe the resisters would be the culprit.

I think what ruby means is don't think twice about not purchasing the correct product for your television. Most TVs use Philips lamps as the OEM, so you'd be a fool to buy the generic products.

That's not true Jake.. a 120W lamp is 100/120W meaning that the 100W ballast will work fine. A 132W lamp will also work, but may appear dimmer since it needs a lot more energy.

Have you checked to make sure all of the cables are attached properly? Also there's that little blue switch that detects if the door is closed or not. Check to make sure that switch isn't broken and see if you can describe any sounds coming from the TV

When the the indicator LEDs blink in an alternating fashion, there might be something blocking the exhaust. Move the television way from the wall and clean out the filters in the back. Have you tried to replace the lamp? When DLP lamps get old, it takes more energy to ignite the lamp as it builds up resistance. Older lamps also tend to do what you're describing because the mercury inside has been spent. The lamp would be the first thing I look at.. Cheaper than calling out a tech....
