Is a little bit hard to tell, since it could be caused by a amplifier or capacitor overheated. There are at least 3 boards that can be involved in this matter, it will be better to get a technician to check this for you. :mrgreen:

Most probably was just a replacement of color wheel. There are no motors in the TV the only thing that works like a motor is the color wheel, and pop sound was glass for color wheel shattering. A replacement color wheel cost about $95 - $120 dlls.

This most likely is something related with:
a) Digital Video Board
b) DMD Board
If this happens with the HDMI input, this will tell you that issue is with the DMD (since HDMI bypass digital video board and goes straight to DMD) and you will need to replace it.
