I am guessing it's ether the dmd chip or the dmd board. If you can't see your menu's Then most likely its one of these.

the ballast will make a high pitched sound without a working lamp. now if it was the color wheel you would hear a grinding kind of sound.

start with the lamp. check to see if it is broken. they can explod with age. even if it doesn't look broken replace the lamp. if that doesn't take care of it then replace the ballast. the other day someone had a bare lamp on ebay for 50 dollars that would of worked with your tv the listing is over a...

you can also check www.samsungparts.com I don't think it would be the ballast making the noise. also check ebay after checking other places.

The holders are the same it's just the wires that are not. if you look one screw holds in the jack. I looked up the lamp online and everywere I look shows the one DM sent you. You should call samsung and see whats going on. that or just switch it and save the 10 dollars.

I am guessing something is wrong with the digital board. since it looks like you replaced everything else. only way to know for sure is to have a tech look at it.

thats not the encloser it's the connector. you can switch the connect wires from one to the other. but if you are going to do all of that then you might as of well bought a loose lamp and saved money by switching it out. You should call direct merchant and let them know the connector isn't the same....

I have seen a bad lamp come on and then turn off again. try a lamp. 2nd thing that is common in this set is the digital board. could be a power supply or a ballast issue. also if a color wheel isn't spinning right it will make the lamp turn off. It could be almost anything.

are you sure this isnt a hlr5667w? if so if the green plaid doesn't show up on your menu's it's the digital board. and not the dmd board. this model is known for this issue. another thing to check is use the pc VGA jack and if the video shows normal its the dmd board. the solder ether needs reflowed...

I have one of these tv's. when mine did this I replaced the lamp and the tv worked. I took a look at my power supply and ballast. they had bad looking solder joints so I resoldered them all. I will see how long the new lamp last. If it only last 4 months I am going to be pissed.

I would say analog board. Check the solder were they hook to the board. I heard that plugging them in and unplugging them many times with brake the solder. If your handy if they are lifted off the board you can solder on jumper wires.

first off look at the back of the tv to make sure the lamp is on before you buy a lamp. if it's on then the lamp is fine. Then It's ether the dmd chip or the dmd board.

owners manual says 3 flashing lights is the lamp. It also could be an ballast issue but I would say replace the lamp first.
