Samsung hlp4663wx picture goes black,

ok, when i first plug in this tv it makes its tone, and standby/temp light lights up. then i use the remote to turn on the tv and i get a picture. after a few mins, the tv picture freezes, then it goes black. i still get sound but no picture. after about ten mins it makes the powering down jingle. ok some other things you may need to know. my buttons don't work on the side or the font. the front lights up and actually if i don't turn it on by remote, and press the power button the lamp flashes green simultaneously with the stand by light. also the tv will not turn back on untill i unplug it. thanks for any help

Not sure if this will help you? I have a 61" HLR6167W that would turn on run for a bit then shut off. I found was a bad DLP bulb. The DLP was dropped when a friend, no more, dropped the set when tring to sell it for me at his house and lied about it. The bulb itself was cracked. sounds like a bulb and or balast problem but check bulb first.
