Samsung HL-R4266W Display problem

I just replaced my lamp but still have a display problem.
When I turn the tv on I initially get the audio and video like normal,
then after about 2 minutes the video flickers then goes out and I hear
a noise like something is spooling up (going faster), then I hear a tone.
I didn't get the lamp indicator.

Is it possible that the fan doesn't work and that when it gets too
hot - these symptoms occur?

As you know there are other consumable parts in your Tv, lamp, ballast, color wheel. The color wheel being pretty much the only mechanical part in your tv. It is the only part that makes that noise.
