Samsung 65" HCN653W - Color askew

Postby alpha1solo » Sat Nov 26, 2011 2:54 pm

Greetings experts,

Although I was looking for a reason to replace my DLP with more modern technology, I found that my attachment to my current television is greater than I originally anticipated.

The other day my Samsung began sagging in the top area of the screen creating a double image (primarily top center of the set). Upon investigation, I found the patterns do not line up properly. It appears that the red patterns are aligned properly, but the blue?? is sagging vertically from the center causing double imaging and color distortion. I tried to align the pattern thru the menus, but I cannot get the blue to pull up to align with the reds. Is this a common issue that I can repair or do I have a mammoth paperweight? I would love to repair this problem if feesable but I have not been able to pinpoint the issue.

Any help would be appreciated!
