DLP Samsung HL-R5067W shutting off

My 6 year old DLP TV keeps shutting off by itself. It will turn back on. It seems to be shutting off more frequently as days pass.
The lamp has been replaced less than two years ago.
Would the lamp cause the TV to shut off or is there some other issue?
