Hi All,
KevinS, new to the forum, here. I am recently retired (well not that recently and truly released/terminated from INTEL in Arizona, USA - with less than 40 days to go for full retirement
So, I have a bit more time available to work on some things like 2005 Samsung DLP TV (an HL R6168WX/XXA with a light engine number 61B; L680 61”-050809-18) that recently got the dreaded 6 inch black shadow of light tunnel death on the left side of the screen. The internet investigation. It didn't seem like the light tunnel replacement was an over the top kind of repair – so I went for it. Now the lamp won’t fire. Looks like lots of good data here. And I may have already discovered a piece of my issue if not the whole issue. i see the color wheel needs to be up to speed and communicate correct RPM before the lamp will fire. I get three attempts to fire (three clicks of a relay (i assume) and then the signal in the power display of lamp fault.
Can anyone tell me if I can get a color wheel cable assembly for an HL R6168WX/XXA with a light engine number 61B; L680 61”-050809-18. The light engine side of the color wheel cable connector disintegrated upon disassembling. I pieced the individual connectors contacts back to the posts but the connection may not be allowing the color wheel get to speed or communicate with the brains to fire the lamp.
Let me know
