Hello,

Right off the bat it would seem that since you tested both Analog and Digital inputs, the main input board is either malfunctioning or a connecting point/cable is bad. Either way the best way to resolve it I think, would be to replace the main input board..

I hope this helps or others chime in..

Hi grayfox,

Thanks for the quick response. When you say the main input board, are you referring to this:

I know it is out of stock, so I'll have to look elsewhere, but just want to be sure I'm looking for the right part.

hi there,

no problem glad i can be of assistance. yes in fact that almost the entire module I did not know they sold it like that, I am sure it can also come as just the back input board, with out the bottom.. since we do not know how far the short made it, its probably safer to get this whole BUT if you find just the rear facing board for your model I am sure it will be cheaper without the digital video board, power supply distribution etc that are on the bottom.

I think, given what you said, that the short arc went in this order:

Lightning hits the house > Power outlets and circuit breakers pop > the cablebox/Uverse fries from the outlet > the HDMI or connection to the TV carries the short to the input board > the input board components fry up.

Given this has many fuses and capacitors I am sure the arc was isolated up to here...

I hope this helps/ makes sense!
