New Lamp & Nothing

I have a Samsumg DLP

Model# HLP5674WX/XAA

Serial# 31DXB01139N

Lamp BP96-00224C(P)

I heard a pop and the TV went off.

The front display LAMP & Stand By/Temp lights both came on so I figured the Lamp died.

Ordered another Samsumg BP96-00224C.

Opened up the back panel to access the LAMP.

The lamp and screws were hidden behind almost everything to access it.

I removed the plastic side vent duct next to the LAMP and and did not see any reason to keep it. ( Kept the stell frame brace. )

The old LAMP was clerly shattered, so I know that was bad.

The replacement fit in perfectly and I reconnect everything back.

The front display LAMP & Stand By/Temp lights are still on with no picture or sound.

Any suggestion on when to check next?

Hello,

Please be sure the lamp door is closed completely otherwise the TV won't turn on. If the lamp door is closed it's possible the ballast is no longer putting out the power a new lamp needs to ignite. Please advise on whether the lamp door was closed so we can go from there to further trouble shoot if need be.

Best Regards,

This is an older version, there is no switch on the lamp door ( which goes to a lamp fan and duct).

The switch was broken off the back right side mount that never moves ( not sure why they even have this), but that was it.

It works now thanks !
