Think something is going bad, sometimes when I turn on tv no picture. I get the green power light flashing,if I leave it the tv might show picture after 10 minutes. Sometimes when I turn off tv the red led light does not come on. Any ideas what to look for,not ready to buy another tv yet.

How many hours on your lamp? Buy a good quality lamp either OSRAM VIP or preferably Phillips. If that doesn't fix the issue, then it's the ballast. Not hard to replace and not expensive either. Just be sure to get the correct one based on part numbers. And while you've got the back cover off, clean everything really well.

Hello,

Hello,

Your Tv being led gets it's light source from it's led's, are you able to tell that these are on ? Or is the screen completely dark ? If the Led's are not turning on the driver more likely needs replacing. This is what powers the led's.

There's an easy way to check out your three LED Phlatlights (that's what the manufacturer calls the LED chip that lights up). Take a 9 volt battery. Unplug the connection to one of the three Phlatlights. Hold the two terminals of the 9 volt battery up to the two lugs on the Phlatlight. It will light up and the color will be seen in the projection lens. If it doesn't, reverse the battery (you can't hurt the Phlatlight if the power is reversed, an LED will simply not light) if you've checked it both ways, and it doesn't light up on either, then the Phlatlight is dead. But given your symptoms, I agree, you probably need a new LED driver.

Hello,

The link below will take you to a page where you will see a picture of the driver. The website you will be on is a very good source for manuals schematics and troubleshooting information. I think it will be very informative and helpful to you. I believe finding out whether the actual led's are working still is crucial. Using the procedure appleads mentions sounds like a good idea. If the leds do work then more likely they are not getting power from the driver. If you have a black screen but the led's do come on then more likely the DMD board will need replacing.

There are LED drivers advertised on eBay and some of these have a picture of the unit in question. Search "Samsung LED driver" Please don't forget to post a reply once you've solved the problem with your set. We all learn a lot that way. Thanks!

Well tv getting worst, only shows picture on screen when it wants.Just installed new power board BP96-01726A with little change.Guess the LED Driver is next BP96-01803A. Does anyone know what controls the blue light around front power button? I can set it to never and light goes off, when tv is turn on again it stays on.Like it does not remember where I set it.

On the LED sets, the blue light is a MENU item. Look for settings and scroll around until you find the menu listing for it. Can't remember what they call it but it's not a good name. Like courtesy light or something. It has several options. On, off, always on, off when tv is on, always off, etc. That'll fix it for you.
