I'm learning that different light engines will work with various models but I have no idea how to cross reference or check to see what's compatible or not. wondering if anyone here can help. I found this light engine part# BP96-00824C and I have a Sammy HLP6163WX/XAA and a HLR5067WX/XAA wondering if this part will work with either unit thanks. the guy want's very little money for it compared to what I've seen.

I did some looking around and I was not able to produce a match with the part number you posted, but to be 100% sure.
The actual light engine in your tv has the original part # in it, I mean you have to pull it out anyway.
That's what most of us do.
