dlp color wheel noise after replacement

I replace the color wheel and it is making a noise so I took it all back out and the color wheel was scratched, I am having trouble getting it to fit in without rubbing. The gasket seems to get messed up so I straightened it out put it back together and it still made the noise. any trick to inserting the new color wheel correctly?
