problems with lamp door not shut properly

I have a samsung HL-T5075S just replaced the bulb. Now when I turn on tv it comes on for 2 seconds then the first and last lights start to flash telling me that the lamp cover is not shut properly. I have played with the little blue switch moved it up and down and tried it at different positions but get the same problem every time. Could my switch for the door be bad

sometimes the switches get damaged due to heat exposure, so its not unheard of that they go bad!

it would be a good idea to do a continuity test with a volt meter so we can be sure that switch works!
