recently pruchased a "Refurbished" Light Engine to fix a purpleish band on the top half of my screen that occurs intermittedly

Hello!

This is most likely the light tunnel on the light engine being miss aligned.. I would take it out and reassemble it carefully making sure every screw and socket fir snugly in its place and most importantly that there are no skewed or bent parts on any of the internals (such that can happen with bumps during travel)..
