I believe that my colour wheel maybe or is KA-PUT. Watching TV with the kids screen goes blue and a buzzing sound starts but nothing popped. I shut the TV off to reset itself. Tried to turn it on again to see what will happen. Buzzing started almost immediately came on for a minute, lamp indicator was flashing but unable to fire up. There was no 3 lights to indicate bad lamp. Buzzing continued. Check lamp to see if it burnt out or popped. It did not look like it. Took the back panel off and to check if fans where running they were.
NOt sure if it is the Wheel or maybe the ballast. Will I have to buy a wheel, ballast and possibly and new lamp?
Any input is most welcome.

I have a hlp 5063 also . I replaced my color wheel due to whinning while was on , comes and goes and will sound loud , you can hear it whine down when turning off the tv . Color wheel
