Small white dots on screen

Small white dots on screen
I have a Samsung DLP model HL-4666 which I bought in 2007. Recently I have noticed small white dots appearing on the screen. Do I need a new bulb or is there something else going on?

Hello,
You can replace the lamp if its been around a year since you last replaced it just to be preemptive, but this distortion is most likely caused by a bad DMD board..
