Lamp, Color Wheel or both?

I have a 56" RCA Scenium, I have not found the model # yet.
My TV has been making a loud humming sound the last couple of weeks. It starts as soon as the TV is turned on. It sounds like it is winding up once first started, then just makes a consistent loud hum and will increase in volume after being on a short amount of time. Is this my color wheel.
Secondly, as watching the TV today there was a loud POP and the screen went black. the blue lights started flashing, but I did not catch the sequence. Was this the Lamp or color wheel?
My lamp was # is 270414.
Suggestions? Does it appear that my Lamp and color wheel need replacing.
