73" has flashing yellow light after shutting off

I have a 73" mitsubishi dlp and lately the tv takes a little longer turning on while making a faint humming noise.once tv is on its looks great no color distortion , picture is sharp but still has humming noise.after being on for a little bit the tv will just shut off and have a slow flashing yellow light that will do that for a while.i did replace the lamp a year ago with a generic lamp but it works great and never had issues with the picture.i have been researching but cannot find anything with fllashing yellow light.i am thinking it is maybe the fan? Not sure.
