I have read that this may be fixable. The DM fan runs all the time. I really dont see the purpose in this fan running and have heard that it may be a software update fix or that the fan is wired backwards. ANy body got any info on this subject?

I would double check the conection, was this recently replaced? if it has 3 wires to power it can be that it is not installed correctly. Also if your TV has low ventilation or your thermostat inside the tv is malfunctioning this will cause the Fan to remain on.
