Hello everyone I have a WD 57733 DLP that went bad about a month or so ago because of a blimking red light i plugged it in today, pushed the power button it blinked green and shut off I pushed the power button again it turned on for about half an hour and shut off all the indicator lights illuminated. I unplug it start it again and it says there was a power loss and shuts off again, again all the indicator lights illuminate and following a blinking red light
A television shutting itself off may mean a few things:
Bad lamp (most likely the cause)
Bad power supply
To properly diagnose your television, we'll have to know more about the symptoms. You can start by moving the television away from any walls. This will give it better ventilation and cooler operation. Then you can check the lamp indicator lights. To find out what the lights mean, you can check on the following link:http://www.fixyourdlp.com/wizard/indica ... bishi.html
If you've never had any issues with your television before, chances are that the lamp has simply gone out and the mercury in your lamp is spent. You can typically wait for the television and lamp to cool down a bit and fire the lamp up again, though there's no telling how long the lamp will last.
Hope this can be helpful.
