WD-60735 flashing then red light

OK I have replaced the bulb and housing with OEM and now tv starts and flashes the mode repeatedly for about 30 secs and then red lamp light comes on. All Fans are working. Bad Ballast?

if balast is bad check voltage going to balast might be power supply or something else i have the same tv with same problem but as most of my post i get no reply kinda sucks

If this is not the first time you are replacing the lamp then yes it might very well be a bad ballast. You also want to make sure you do not have a generic or bootleg bulb. This has caused me many headaches!
