I think I might be having the same issue on my wd-52725 52 inch DLP. When I plug it in it flashed green for about a minute. Next when push the power button the power led will come on and stay solid green however I have no picture and cannot pull up any menus. It will stay on until I turn it off.

I had an issue with it previously where it would work fine but power off by itself randomly any where from 5 - 45 minutes of watching TV. That issue seemed to have worked itself out or so I thought.

There are a few LED lights on the front of that TV. Exactly which lights are on and what are the lights doing? You may have an overheating issue, and in that event, you should try to move the TV away from the wall. Have you replaced the lamp? The lamp may be to blame if it's been more than a few years since you've replaced the lamp. I can't guarantee that will solve your problem, but it'sd always a good place to start. You don't want to spend 100 bucks on a tech to go out there to tell you its the lamp! :)

The timer/power led is staying lit continuously when I power on the tv. It is not flashing or changing changing to different colors The TV and the timer/power led will stay on until I shut it off with either the remote or front panel. The lamp is only about 6 months old and is used for only a couple hours in the evening. I' ve moved the tv from the wall directed, cleaned the filter, and directed a fan to blow behind the TV thinking it was possibly a heating issue.

cg81,
Did you reset the lamp timer when you replaced the lamp 6 months ago? I bet the timer needs to be reset!

All you need to do is use a paper clip to push down the tiny little "reset" button on the front of your TV (next to the lamp light). When you press it, hold it there for 10-15 seconds in order to reset the issue. If it continues to happen, try unplugging the set, pluging it back it, then holding the reset button.

Let us know how it goes.

Try doing a system reset in your TV, according to the owners manual you have to:

If the TV does not respond to the remote control, front panel controls, or will not power on/off, press the SYSTEM RESET button on the front panel with a pointed object, such as the point of a pencil or end tip of a paperclip. The green LED will flash quickly for about one minute. When the green LED stops flashing, you may turn on the TV. The changes you made most recently, before using SYSTEM RESET, may be lost.

The system reset will reset your lamp timer and it also troubleshoots the TV, this should help out.

In this link you can download the service manual for your TV:

Note: The service manual also has a troubleshooting procedure, check the lamp indicator pages

If your TV still doesn't work correctly, then try this troubleshooting links:
