Postby ASHAYEGH85 » Wed May 04, 2011 5:38 pm

I HAVE A WD-62627 ....AND I HAVE A PROBLEM....IT DOESN'T TURN ON...SO I DID A SYSTEM RESET...I WAIT FOR THE GREEN BLINKING LIGHT TO STOP...THEN I PRESS POWER...TV TURNS ON...MIND YOU AT THIS POINT THERE ARE NO BUTTONS THAT ARE WORKING...THE TV STAYS ON FOR ABOUT 20 SECONDS AND AS IT IS ON IT GETS BRIGHTER AND BRIGHTER THEN IT SHUTS OFF AND STARTS GREEN LIGHT BLINKING!....

Hello, well good news is that most probably every consumable part in your tv like the lamp , ballast and colorwheel are ok.
Bad news is since your TV fails to respond to commands after it malfunctions, this is most likely a DMD board issue...
Hope this helps, any one else out there care to chime in?

well the bad news is the DMD (motherboard) is not normally sold separately from the entire light engine, I find the cheapest prices for this part at discount-merchant.com (in or around 200-300$) but at least the swap is easy, it is just a bunch of screws and plugs nothing to cut or solder. Pretty self explanatory if you have time and a Philips screwdriver!

hope this helps!
