Checker board screen on WD52525

Postby melandrusty » Fri Aug 28, 2009 1:37 am

We recently replaced the lamp on our Mitsubishi, it worked fine for a few weeks and then we got a checkerboard pattern. Would like to fix this on our own, any thoughts?

Does this pattern show on the menu too?
Does this pattern show on all the inputs? Try the HDMI.

I disconnected the HDMI awhile ago, and cannot access anything as far as menus, the device choices or Netcommand. Just a grayscale checkerboard upon powering up.

Do you think it could be the optical engine?
