I replaced the lamp 2 weeks ago & has been working fine. A Sony dealer put a new phillips bulb in my old plastic housing.
One morning it would not turn on. The green light blinks about 15 times. then there is a clicking sound. the green light pauses for one blink an then resumes blinking.
the tv never comes on.
Any ideas?

I am 90% sure this is an issue with the ballast, but would recommend buying it online and swapping it out following the template guide on this home website, you can find the ballast by part number online for like 60-80$ and replace it yourself with just a bunch of screws and plugs, or pay around 400$ from a tech!
