PT-40LC12 wont fire off .....

My older PL-40LC12 wouldnt fire off .... so I bought a new bulb ... then a new ballast ... but still just get a series of three clicking sounds without the lamp firing off ? Any other thoughts as to what could be keeping it from firing off ? Thanks

Is this an LCD projection television??? the only thing i could think of would be the trip sensor from when you replaced the ballast if so....

how do I fix a trip sensor ? reset or replace it ? ...... any other causes ... except maybe I bought a bad ballast board ? ... Thanks

you can order one online ( I find little pieces like the trip sensor and thermostat at
www.discount-merchant.com) and exchange it, I doubt you can fix it :( might as well install a new one! :P

they dont list anything called a "trip sensor " ... ? is this a component located on a board ? ..... I'd love to replace the components on the ballast board but trying to find a " kit " , which I've seen mentioned , is not an easy thing to find .........
