Left side of screen is dim on HD-61G787

Postby ryan1313 » Tue Sep 06, 2011 1:40 pm

I knew the screen was getting dim and got the replace bulb message. So I purchased a Phillips replacement bulb through Amazon and installed it in the TV. The left side of the screen is now darker than the right. I've attached a picture to show what is going on. I put the old lamp back in and it seems to be doing the same thing.

Could this be something that can be fixed easily by cleaning the mirror(s)? If so, how can should I go about doing that without messing anything up?

Or is this the light engine I keep reading about?

Thank you in advance for your time!

Hello,
My lamp went out on my JVC hd-52G886 and I got an after market lamp and my screen is doing the same thing now. So I was wondering if it was the lamp I bought or something else, its really annoying. I guess I'm going to buy a better lamp to see if that was the problem. If any body has any suggestions I could really use the help!
Thanks..
