62MX195 problems.. vertical lines and ghosting

See attached pics (sorry they were so close but i have the TV facing backwards on the stand so I could work on it and I'm home alone :) ). I took the light engine out and cleaned everything up, light tunnel looked ok, I looked around at a few other things but nothing jumped out at me, no blown caps, nothing out of place. I put enough screws back in it to hold it in place and it doesn't seem to have changed the issues (picture is brighter though :).. I probably removed 5 pounds of dust).

Any suggestions are welcome :)

Travis

Hello travs69.
First of all I am unable to see the pictures you attached, how ever from the description of your problem its seams like either a DMD board issue or the digital board. How ever, to discard one or the other try the menu test. Push the menu button on your remote. If you get the tv menu, that means that the DMD board is fine & it’s the digital video board, and if no menu appears then its definitely the DMD.
Here is the original post of picture abnormalities on a DLP tv.
Good luck.

Thanks.. here are the links directly to the pictures

Menu comes up just fine but looks bad (like the rest of the tv picture).

Do you know a part number for the digital board?

Thanks!!

Hello again travs69.
It looks like it’s your DMD board. Since the TV menu is also affected that practically sums it up. No if you’re willing to spend money on repairing your TV I suggest you search by part number, to find it you’ll have to look for it printed on the board. It’s normally the biggest number printed on there, or it has the P / N legends on it.
If you are not able to find one you’ll have to buy the entire light engine.
If you have any more questions feel free to ask.
Good luck.
