52HM84 getting dim regardless of new lamp

This set has given good service, though I've replaced the lamp several times and once disassembled the back to replace the lamp driver board (nomenclature?), always with good results.
Recently it dimmed a bit, so I replaced the lamp again. And again.
It's on the BRIGHT setting...
Is there a brand of lamp that is significantly brighter than others? Is there something that might need cleaning?
